About Our Agency
Over the past 25 years I have served in leadership roles with companies like Travelers, Safeco, The Hartford, Kemper and Atlantic Mutual. I left corporate life to start my own agency that specializes in Florida personal and commercial property. Our objective is not to be one of the large generalist agencies, but rather a small consultative group of specialists. This way we can devote more time to working with our clients.
Take a look at our Google reviews, they tell the real story of what you can expect when you select me as your property insurance agent. Tony Prete, Owner & Managing Agent |

Homeowners are finding it increasingly difficult to find affordable home insurance in southeast and central Florida. Many companies have simply stopped offering new policies and others have put restrictions in place that include only offering coverage for newer homes. If you've had a water claim in the past five years it's likely your only choice will be Citizens Insurance which is considered the insurer of last resort and offers lower coverage limits than available in the retail market. The Florida Legislature recently passed additional insurance reforms, but even the legislature agreed these reforms will not provide relief until sometime Q2 2023. In the mean time, homeowners will face additional premium increases in 2022 and in some cases cancellation of their policy. We still have a few companies open for new business, so if you need help please give us a call at (954) 678-2658 or email me directly at tony@justasktim.com.

In June we've had 3 more insurance companies go down; Mason, Federated National Insurance Company, and Southern Fidelity. This makes a total of 6 since February of this year. Additionally, many of the Florida Insurance companies have chosen to stop writing business in Florida with most now not writing new business in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties. Now more than ever you need a solid independent agent to help you find coverage at a price you can afford.
